Again I am writing on one of the current best seller 150 cc bike in the country the '' hero cbz xtreme''
Which recently got major face lift on appearence wid no major technical improvement wid its tried n tested 149 cc heart which is very reliable in our very own indian conditions.
But before my experiance wid this bike
Some past legacy about this brand n its performance.
The first generation cbz was launched way back in 1999 with TPFC stnding for transit power fuel control carburettors the first of its type which was capable of producing a astounding pick up with its originl heart of 156 cc engine.
The first generation cbz were a runaway hit n a trend setter product as it opened doors for slew of 150 cc launches in d coming days wid fiero n pulsar remarkable
The launch of pulsar in 2001 had affected the sales chrt of cbz fr many years
So the co in 2007 had came up with new n improved cbz xtreme although the power was reduced to 149 cc its fuel economy had improved n performance too wid more competitive looks.
In next 3-4 years cbz xtreme had erned a reputation of beaing a dependable bike wid good pressence on the road.
Finally in 2011 the company came up wid 2012 launch of cbz xtreme with more contemporary looks n features like
-auto key shutter
-only self start
-combination of digital n analogue meter
-tubeless rear tyres
-optional rear disks
Are sure to attract the imagination of Indian bikers
Now after major features my experience with this machine> > > > > >
Since two months I am trying this beauty of m roomie n believe me she z 100 % reliable every time.
Initially I was a big fan of original cbz legacy but this new 2012 cbz xtreme too z very reliable machine
In these two months I had myself clocked around 900 km wid this bike n every time wen I took it on noida greater noida express way I feel in love wid this bike the way its throotlle responses
Whether its per silent engine
Or its riding position
Or
New improved seating position with new handlebars every improvement is aimed at increasing riders convenience....with comfort levels very near to our trusted karizma
Not only the seating positions
But the way in which its engine responses, will give you feel like boss :)
Tube less tyres r great treasure for long drives but I worry why hero had not given it in front tyres too ...
Also maintenance too z not an issue with this machine (may be we r having it since 2 months dts y)
But as the engine z same I had no doubt over its ability n honda lineage :)
Now after positives...some negative points..
- I wonder y hero had scrapped kick start pedal in cbz as in country like india people dd not py much attention to the service of bike wen it gets older n I doubt that wat the rider ll felt in absence of kick starter...does he hd to call the fellow riders/people to give the bike a push to make it start :0
Assume the condition in nights or in highways
Also even MNC like YAMAHA who initially had not given kick starters in FZ series too r now giving kick starter then y our own desh ki dhadkan hero z neglecting such tool.
-Apart from self start I had no doubt over any other mechanical defects as the height n quality of material used isvery good..n kudos to hero for that :)
At the end my view> > > > >
I think hero cbz xtreme can very well positioned n targeted towards the people who want to upgrade from 100-125 cc bikes with decent economy n service availability with reasonable cost of parts.
The fuel efficiency is between 43-48 but as it depends on riders ability to cruise so I think in majority it wud be near 50 but not more than 50 in any case.
Also, the person with low height should introspect their decision as it z little bit heavy n taller than tvs apache..
Apart from this I will give 4 star out of 5 for overall performance of this bike.
One can go for it....
I hope you had liked my review feel free to comment.
Do keep rocking
