If you want an example of how a service/product should not be, then Hathway is the right example. I have never come across such an unprofessional, primitive and wretched service.
1) Initially I was interested in their 512kbps 3GB download limit for 3 months scheme which was priced at 1500+ taxes and went ahead and happily took their connection.
2) Later I come to know that the download speed comes to 15-20 kpbs. Horse-shit!
3) And then suddenly the cable-light on the modem will start flickering and when I call them(this is quite another experience which I would be speaking abt in my next point) I will get to know that signal problem in the damn area. I don't know what the hell that means. This has happened a number of times to me and once it happens it will get back to normalcy in a period ranging from a few hours to 2-3 days.
4) And then I wish someone can possible explain me why I should get engage tone 99% of the time when I dial 040-66989898 which is the hyderabad customer care number. And even in the lucky 1% of the time, the query will be handled by useless representatives who won't even know english/hindi.
My recommendation is a strict NO-NO for the product. Even if other service providers are equally bad or worse, don't take hathway. U can be without internet instead!
