A month back I took a Hathway internet connection(5mbps) for my residence and paid up for the full year.
I'd clearly mentioned to them about my bad experience with MTNL(landline shorting out), airtel dongle(too slow and expensive) and clarified that I want connectivity at all times.
The connection was down on Day 3 of taking the connection and thereafter kept a steady downtime of 30% with most weekends being blackout.
I tried to speak and get it rectified, but on completion of a month, got fed up and emailed a stinker to the franchise owners / operators.
They responded promptly, apologised for the downtime and even extended the term by a fortnight. Have taken a written commitment from them and have decided to continue with them, for the present.
Point is, no service provider can assure 100% uptime in India so having said that, I liked their response.
