I committed this blunder of installing Hathway connection of 5 mbps expecting that the speed of atleast 3-4 MBPS. Tall promises were made by Mr. Suman Das(9582269949), sales representative. After depositing the money what I got is an Ancient RUSTY Modem and Down load speed of 0.03 MBPS and upload speed of 0.01, erratic behaviour and repeated disconnection. Connecting Helpline number(011-46085777) and their Nodal Officer's number are another hell on the Earth. Email IDs provided at the site are either fictitious or having some internet connection problem, all email sent are retuned back.
Complaint filed on 19-02-2014 is still pending with no response.
Further I was charged Service Tax on the Security Deposit of Rs.999.00 for Modem & Router. I was told that this was done to cover the higher cost of Router.
I am planning to either file an FIR against Suman Das &/or take up the matter to Consumer Court.
I don't think I have to warn others what to do.
