Well if you ask me, I did enjoy it, but felt really odd as a lot was missing from what I had expected. My friends who saw the movie with me didn’t read the book. They said that they never understood what was going on and why! I thought there was a lot that was missing in the movie; few points are:
Harry being all alone and lonely in the beginning, his desperation to know what’s Voldemort doing out there after his return, his anger piling up inside him because of the loneliness. WAS MISSING! Role of the House Elf of the Black House was just two stupid small scenes. He’s much more important. MISSING Role of Tonk…
That was completely missing. Except for her line: “Don’t call me Nymphadora…” Hagrid was missing in more than half the book. So won’t complain about that. The LOCKET that’s suspected to be a Horcrux, which is found in the Black House, is missing. The way they enter the Ministry of Magic… They showed a LIFT!!! Inside the ministry, at the Dept. of Mysteries, they just open the door and they are in the room of Prophecies… That was like a garden walk in it… There were no revolving doors…
Most of the things were just happening without explanations. The Centaur, FIRENZ (hope I recollect it right) is completely gone! That’s unfair and weird. The importance of the connection between Harry and Voldemort wasn’t properly displayed. As mentioned earlier, the death of Sirius. It was sudden and fast. – Come on, they could have done better. Last but not the least, the OWLS were missing!!!!!!
