Potter madness is back! After making the fans wait a little longer, here arrives the fifth part of Harry Potter-The Order of the Phoenix!
The story of the movie: Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is about to start his fifth year at Hogwarts. Little did he know that it is year full of ill fortune for him. Not many are ready to believe Harry that the Dark Lord Voldermort (Ralph Fiennes) is back. Meanwhile, the Ministry decides to appoint a new teacher for Defence Against The Dark Arts, Prof Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) in order to keep an eye on Hogwarts. Professor Umbridge later proves to be the nastiest person Harry has ever met. Harry starts seeing horrifying dreams, which he is unable to explain, and later learns of a mystery of Voldermort searching for something. Meanwhile, Umbridge implies strict teachings and rules for students, because of which they began to feel with her as their teacher, they’d never be ready to face the outside world. So a group of students form a club, with Harry as their tutor, and the group is named ‘Dumbeldore’s Army’.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix succeed to impress the viewers, as it is highly engrossing. There’s not a single moment in the movie, which is dull or boring. Right from the first scene (Dudley bullying Harry) till the last scene, the movie keeps everyone hooked onto the screen. And plus, the movie is just 138 mins, making it the shortest of all the Harry Potter movies.
Another reason why the movie wins is because of the excellent direction provided by David Yates. He does a fantastic job as a director.
There are several scenes in the movie worth mentioning. The first scene was fantastic and it sets the mood. The entry of Professor Umbridge was too good. Also, Umbridge’s first class, entry of Hagrid, Grawp’s sequences, climax and the famous kissing scene of Harry and Cho Chang (Katie Leung) are the scene that remain etched in the viewer’s memory for a long time!
Daniel Radcliffe as usual does a great job as Harry Potter. This time he has done a better job, as the role was tough this time. He doesn’t disappoint in any scenes and is worth watching!
Emma Watson as Hermonie as usual looks cute and charming. Her performance too was good. Rupert Grint as Ron was as usual perfect. Imelda Staunton does an excellent job as Proffesor Umbridge. She went completely into the skin of the character. She really steals the show!
Michael Gambon as the good old Dumbeldore was superb. Gary Oldman as Sirius gives a brilliant performance. Katie Leung looks cute. Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood looks super-confident and acts nicely. Alan Rickman as Snape was good. Ralph Fiennes looks horrifying. Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid was funny. Others were funny.
The Art Direction of the movie is another plus-point. It was just marvelous! Music was as usual perfect. Slawomir Idziak’s cinematography was excellent.
David Yate’s direction, as I said earlier, is fantastic and highly captivating. It is good to know that David Yates is also going to direct the sixth part of Harry Potter, The Half Blood Prince.
Some of the best scenes of the movie:
The first scene of the movie
The entry of Umbridge
The scene where Umbridge comes for a class for the first time.
The scene where Harry goes to Umbridge for detention
