I have been reading HP books for quite somtime now and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of its fifth installment. But as these things happen I was deeply mind you deeply disappointed after reading this installment. I have read the sixth installment also so I can say that OOTP is the sole looser in this super and aptly hyped HP series. But on the whole it was a fantastic experience reading this one too. As usual there is no doubt over J.K. Rowling writing skills (where has she got her education from). She is as clever as she has ever been. She very smartly gave us the overview of the ministry of magic and the concept of leglimency and occlumency are most cleverly devised. Then there are thestrals the winged horses who are visible to only those who have witnessed death in their life. As harry has seen Cedric die in the fourth installment GOF he was able to see them. Thestrals can take their rider anywhere they want. Then there is new quizzical character Luna Lovegood whom J.K. Rowling has very cleverly introduced. But the plot doesn`t match with the standards of the Mrs. Rowling.
Death of the Sirius Black so early in the series is the serious blow. Ministry of Magic trying to corner Dumbledore is somewhat baffling. All in all a good read but not as expected from the great of the greats J.K. Rowling.
