Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is out.The long wait to which Harry Potter fans were subjected made it the most anticipated and awaited book of all times. With sales of six million copies in the first week,it broke all records. But was it worth the wait ? I don't think so
Harry is in his V year now - The OWL Year , the Prefect making year and the year of selecting his career. Now well into his teens,he starts behaving like an average teenager.
But he also knows that this might be the year of Lord Voldemort. The Dark Lord, who was returned in the last book is more powerful than ever before.
What Harry Potter V lacks is drama. The anticipation that something is gonna happen is stretched a bit too far and the last fight is not as breathtaking nor as vivid as the one in The Chamber of Secrets or The Goblet of Fire. Also, with the declaration that one of key characters is gonna die, anytime a character is attacked or absent for too long, you think he is dead but when the real character dies,it is too quick. The last talk with Dumbledore is also not as good as in previous one.
All and all,Harry Potter V is not as good as Harry Potter IV which is still my personal favourite.Still Harry Potter V may be a vital one in the VII book series.Who knows ?
