Superb Movie. Review on Halla Bol

Halla Bol is one of the finest movies I have seen for sometime now. I must congratulated Raj Kumar Santoshi for attempting such script. This movie is as inspirational as a Munna Bhai Mbbs or Rangde Basanti but unfortunately it has not got favorable Reviews from Yash chopra Chamcha critics

The Movie starts with Ajay Devgan a superstar Sameer Khan who can be todays  Amir or a Salman Khan. He is manipulative greedy and would do anything for success. Fate lands him as a witness to a Jessica Lal type murder and from here on his life changes for worse. at first he denies being a witness to the killings but then flashback takes him to the days

when he was a ordinary street play artist called Ashfaque doing street plays for social causes under Siddhu( Pankaj Kapoor)

Siddhu is a ex convict but renounced his criminal past to be a social workers creating awareness to the ills of society among the masses

Fortune smiles to Asfaque who tranforms to Sameer Khan the bollwood heartthrob. but success has its side effects and makes Sameer Khan a arrogant brat.antagonizing his mentor Sidhu and his own wife and parents.

The murder inspires Sameer Khan to become a witness confess to police about the killers but the killers are sons of a Top Politician and a Liquor Baron. who make life miserable for Sameer Khan

There is Arson in his house, Politician uses all his might to destroy him. his posters are burned theater owners are threaten not to show his movies( Something similar to Aamir khans Gujarat controversy)

they even manage to use a actress(Rakhi sawant look alike) to false implicate him in a sexual molestation case. Enters Siddhu his mentor who fights tooth and nail to save the hero and his ideals. they plan to stage a street play called Halla Bol which highlights the murder which Sameer Khan was witness to.

Politicians goons attack the play and seriously injure Ajay Devgan. the whole event is captured on media and finally the people rise and stand up to Ajay Devgan. Courts get thier acts together and the villain's are convicted the climax is a bit too hurried itseems the director was in hurry to end the movie soon neverthe essits a very inspiring movie just like Rang De basanti but more real than Rang de Basanti.

Cast= Ajay Devgan has done a decent job, Pankaj Kapoor is god, vidlya Balan is so so

music= music is a bit let down some good songs would have helped

Overall a great story and a good cinema
