One more review on a restaurant, and this time it's a restaurant from Goregaon! A friend of mine happened to mention about the New Menu launch from Haagen-Dazs and this was certainly worth a try. The Newly launched Menu itself is very impressive and the Creations are indeed a treat for the eyes as well as appetite. The place is very tempting and who isn't tempted by sizzling desserts?
All the creations from the Waffles especially the chocolate ones, Crepes, Fondues( European Fondue), Sorbets, Exotic Scoops and Cakes, Brownies are too tempting to chose from. Many varieties present and trying almost every creations is a big task!
Took d simplest way out and ordered the European Fondue from their Newly launched menu. This dessert had a bit of almost everything that was on offer in the newly launched menu. Heavily priced european fondue was awesome and better than many others that sell the european fondue. This dessert was better than the rest on show.
The European Fondue had, perfectly frozen scoops of Belgian Choco, Strawberry and Vanilla ice-cream a portion of smooth cream n crisp cookies, some super duper spongy Waffles and small soft roll of crepes which melt in your mouth at the same instance, a few crystal cubes of walnut brownie and some colorful Macrons, and portion of fruit platter of apple, strawberries, kiwis and sweet limes to dunk all these goodies, there is some yumm Caramel sauce and a deep bowl of pure sinful melted chocolate and there goes your creations. A must visit for a dessert lover!
After reading the previous paragraph if you still insist on not going to this place, then you aren't a dessert lover.
Never been in for such a lovely dessert treat.
Also tried their Sorbet Tray priced at Rs.550/- . 2 Raspberry flavored and 2 Mango flavored smooth sorbets on sticks, dipped in hot melted chocolate served in glasses. The pricing is just perfect as having a Sorbet which has no Crystals, worth it! Totally worth it.
Considering that the platter is sufficient for 3 to 4 people, the pricing isn't very steep. Also, taking into account the ambiance at Goregaon Lounge was not that bad, it is a nice way to celebrate your special moments. Haagen Dazs at Powai has a good ambiance as compared to the one in goregaon.
Pricing also is on the higher side, but the quality of food is really very commendable!
The customer service is a bit slow and one can face delay! And at times it does gets irritating and I Wish someday their customer service could become a bit better. This place at times get very crowdy!
Advice by the staff helps us getting the dessert customized as we want.
One thing that took me by surprise was the quality of all the menu. All the dessert were very special and it was a day spent well at this place. Every time I hang out in goregaon I make it a point to visit this gem of a place.
I would recommend each and everyone to visit this place and even you would give thumbs up to this wonderful place.
I can spend my entire day at this place hogging different desserts in the menu.
Slowly and steadily this place will pick up it's place in Indian markets and give tough fight for Naturals, Gelato, Baskin and robbins! Considering the fact I have visited all the mentioned outlets this one has impressed me the most.
Cost for couple would be anywhere in between 600-800/- Bucks.
The menu itself is mind boggling. I wanted to try every dessert mentioned in the menu, such was the presentation and the taste.
Conclusion:
Overall, it is a big Thumbs up on Taste and Quality and coupled with the Service and Advice of the inhouse staff it will be a great experience . Would like surely to make a repeat for some occasion .
If your hanging out in and around Goregaon do make it a point to visit this wonderful place!
