I go to this neighborhood gym in prabahdevi for a few years. We have a problem in the sense that there is no good gym in the vicinity i.e. walking distance. This gym has excellent Nautilus equipment and very good friendly trainers. The problem how ever is that the owner wants to squeeze all the money from the existing infra structure and does not want to maintain the standards. For example the air-conditioning has stopped working a long time ago and one sweats a lot during the summer. It is bearable only in Winters.
The trainers are paid so low that the attrition rate is very very high so you see one trainer a month. They have a stupid system where you need to carry a key card and swipe it for your entry inside the gym area, but it does not work most of the times and if you do not carry your card you are let in anyway! The trainers were good but suddenly the system of personal training was introduced to make more money!
So if you have not paid for personal training then no body bothers to train you or guide you! This is grossly unfair but then who cares?
All in all we need a good gym in prabhadevi, Mumbai or interested guys just take this place over and turn it around.
