I had opted for GTPL Broadband services about 3 years ago.
At initial stages, the service was good and I also got almost full speed(according to my plan) since the installation being done with fibre optic cables. Also, when we filed complaint through the customer care toll free no. the technicians used to come within 24 hours of complaint time.
Then in 2015, I purchased a pack for 16 months unlimited data @512 kbps, which cost 5600 Rs.
I got the promised speed for a rough 5-6 months. Then I started getting continuously the error 651 at numerous times. The internet connectivity lost after several minutes of logging sessions.
I filed a number of complaints through the customer care number. The complaint always got filed. But technicians didn't come and just kept reestaRobotouchshing connection for us at their end.
But the problem was at our side - in the hub on our terrace, there was some problem with the wires or setup.
After whole 1 month, the technician visited our home and inspected the hub and found out that it was just a wire that was causing that problem.
See? A small problem at the hub on the terrace didn't get resolved for the whole month and we suffered that long!
Then we talked to the agent about the plan. The details for that plan showed 12 months+(4 months) - which, upon asked to the agent - he said that, we can't complain to them about not having internet connectivity even if we don't have it for 4 months!
According to that, even if they provide internet for only 12 months, we can't complain, because the(+4 months) of validity is EXTRA. That is, we can't blame GTPL for not being able to(or, should I say, NOT WILLING TO) provide internet connectivity.
I am facing the same problem from the last 1.5 months and still the problem is not being solved. I have filed hell lot of complaints at the cc but what happens is that, the technician who gets alloted that issue does some reconnecting of the wires at their office and then internet works fine for about 1-2 hours, so he concludes that it is solved and MARKS THE COMPLAINT AS SOLVED HIMSELF!
But after those 1-2 hours, internet connectivity is lost, and I again suffer.
On every other day, I need to file another complaint and they promise me that it will be solved within 24 hours, but it NEVER GETS RESOLVED COMPLETELY.
In my opinion, the GTPL Broadband is the worst ISP in Gujarat.
I suggest everyone to never opt for GTPL broadband services. There are many other alternatives which are bit costlier but they do provide very good service and also the customer problems get resolved quickly, according to what I have known from my close friends.
