I have experimented with all sorts of Mosquito repellents, from the Coil to the Spray, but I still prefer the Good Knight mosquito Repellent which works by heating the mat of repellent.
The features and other stuff
The Good Knight mosquito Repellent is available in two variants, the Plug-able One which can be plugged into any standard plug point and the Standard One(Detached) with a cord/cable which is more maneuverable.
I normally use both of then, I keep one on the plug point and the other one under my bed. The one mat is supposedly effective for around 8 hours and I found it extremely effective.
Care should be taken that after plugging in the set and putting in the map, all the doors and windows are closed for at least 30 minutes so that the vapors from the repellent reaches all the nook and corners of the room, which renders the entire room protected from mosquitoes.
Event hough its not recommended, I take some desperate measures when there is a power failure and the mosquitoes drive my crazy, I burn the used mats and its damn effective. Its supposedly bad for health but when you are 'mad' you cease to think rationally.:-) Please don't try this at home if you can avoid it.
Knight mosquito Repellent has got a very pleasant smell. I really don't know whether its safe for children or not, but I have seen people using it and feel that it should be ok. Please check the product manual for more details.
The Set & Mats & its cost
The set and mats come separately most of the times and quite cheap compared the functionality its offering. The standard pack of mats contains 30 pieces and costs around 50 Rs. The plug-able module comes for around 35-40 Rs and the normal standard machine with chord comes for around 70 Rs.
What I Feel
Even though Knight mosquito Repellent has got other variants like the Liquidator and the classic coil, I still prefer the Mat. I have been using it quite regular for may years and am quite satisfied with it. Generally, the unit lasts long and I never had to replace a unit due to malfunction.
So go ahead and give it a shot and I assure you that you wouldn't be disappointed. But no one can help you if the mosquitoes you are living with are some sort of 'Mutants' and resistant to Knight mosquito Repellent or any other repellent for that matter.
The best method would be of course preventing the mosquitoes from coming in, put in some nets on your windows and other air inlets, and do keep your surroundings clean.
Hope you found this useful.
Peace
