So far so good! A jolly year for bollywood cinegoers with Dhoom II and MunnaBhai lagey raho yet to arrive. First it was Masti then arrived Kya kool hai hum and now its Golmaal. I guess you know by now what kind of comedy I am talking about. Still Golmaal is more vulgar than No Entry and less vulgar than Masti and can be watched with family.

Pick Arshad from Munna Bhai, Tushar from Kya Kool Hai Hum and Sharmaan from Shaadi No 1 and attach them with Ajay Devgan and you get a total new startcast and thats what the crowd love to see nowadays.

Story: - The story is all about 4 students of a college Ajay (Ritesh Deshmukh could have been the best choice here) , Tushar Kapoor(a mute person), Sharmaan Joshi(a brilliant student out of 4 but sacrifices his studies always for his so-called notorious friends) and Arshad Warsi(who is good for nothing).

These 3 disreputable students secretly live in hostel with the studious one and ruins his life.

The college principal(Manoj Joshi) is always fooled by purchasing from them foolish schemes, who finally decides to throw all of them out of the college.

Hiding from a local don to whom they owe money they land into a bungalow of a blind couple(Paresh Rawal & Susmita Mukherjee). They learn that the couple are expecting their grandson from US. But by mistake one of them collide with the couple while the other had already spoken to them as their grandson Sameer. From here the plot becomes a rib-tickling one as blind people are smart in recognizing voice as well as touch so to avoid getting caught they stay together and thats what Golmaal is all about. To add to the humour they all love the same girl next door(Rimi Sen).

Music:- Already on the chart the music by Vishal-Shekhar is worth appreciation. Rehja Re and Aagey Peechey are worth hearing tracks. Vishal-Shekhar have mostly given music for action movies like Dus, Zinda, Musafir etc but the peppy numbers of Golmaal perfectly suit the mood.

Performances: -

Ajay Devgan is looking odd in the crowd though this angry young man has seriosly shed a few kilos and look quite young.

Tushar: - Just getting better and can be used in any movie as a dumber.

Sharmaan:- Lost in the crowd is all we can say. This talented man can do a lot and he has proved it in Rang De basanti

Rimi Sen:- As she has said she is a female version of Rajpal Yadav which is very true as far as her selection of movies is concerned. She has little to do here in Golmaal.

Arshad Warsi:- Its time for Bollywood to make him Munna Bhai instead of Circuit in all movies. This man can pull the whole movie on his shoulder.

Paresh Rawal:- Though the story revolves around him he is kinda used as a shoulder to fire the gun.

Best Quotes: -

"Maaaya OO" (which is how a half-mute will give bad word)

"Woh dekh sidi wali ladki" "Kya? iski CD bhi nikli hai"

"Haan padhai toh ki...par tumne exam dene kahaan diya"

Overall: - If you forget the junk climax, some practical comedies and some flaws here and there this movie is an outrageous entertainer specially the onscreen chemistry between the 4.
