I registered a domain through Godaddy few days back. My order no is 1080726286.
Once I registered the domain I did not received a receipt from them. Well they do have a option of generating a receipt on their website but I did not work. When I clicked on generate receipt it took me to the new window were no receipt was found.
Then I had a chat with a customer support person called Lalit Kumar he told me to provide my details to check the order. He then assured me that in a hour you will receive the receipt copy. But I did not received it.
Again after about 2 hours I had chat with same person and he again assured me that he will send it to my email address and also give me confirmation call. But still now I haven't got the receipt copy and confirmation call.
Now coming to the point about Godaddy selling your personal details. Let me tell you that from the time I have registered the domain I have received more than 15 messages from various third party companies for hosting.
It was only me and Godaddy who knew that I have registered a domain then how come these third party companies knew my mobile number and email address.
So, be careful guys while registering domain name from Godaddy. There are other good companies look out for them.
