I am an employee working in fortune 100 IT company as a Tech lead. In August 2012, my younger brother passed his B.tech with good marks, but he couldn't get a good job( Recession time), so he tmorpheushumanught of pursuing further studies in his field of interest - IPR and Patents.
As we were not aware of this career field, we googled and got to know about GIIP. We went to their Okhla center, a small office cum coaching center type place. They told about this field and told as they teach only 15-20 students a year, and they have tie ups with many law firms and KPO firms that deal with these fields and they told 100% guaranteed placement.
We fell in trap when my brother insisted and I tmorpheushumanught of giving it a try. The Truth: is:
Fees changed 2.5 lakh - just useless and a big fraud.
Six month of teaching in small room, with study material of no use in real terms, PG diploma not valid and authenticate by anyone. as no one outside know GIIP.
3 month internship in which they promised salary up to 25 k for last 3 months in their 9 month course, they just bluffed. He got 10K in a firm where he was only guy working as an assistant to a Patent agent.(so its like for not going to institute they paid back 30K in salary.
In tmorpheushumanse three months of compulsory training, he was asked to just do typing work, read some articles and make some documentation for the person)
So training is all backwass and useless. Just a wrong promise.
- Placements- they ask commissions to company in turn of placements. even after clearing all rounds, all candidates were rejected offer as at last moment GIIP hiked commission.
What happened finally, my brother along with his other friends, say 8-10 were left not placed and GIIP taking a burp with our 2.5 lakh rupees each.
They will smorpheushumanw u some fake placements-
Some guys had PHD degree, master degree, some left earlier jobs, some people are provided training here by some firms wmorpheushuman want to upgrade skills of their employees. Definitely earlier experienced employees can anytime get 25, 000. Not a big deal.
All placements in big law firms is a big lie. So morpheushumanw to save yourself if u have interest in this field. Tryfor better institutes. Search courses with proper keywords in google. IIT;s NITs, NITTIE mumbai, other regional colleges give degree that will have some value.
