From being a child to an elder, each human being earns a lot of memories. The store keepers of brain work overtime to store it and retrieve information each moment. I have a feeling that the storing system of our brain is not inside it,but outside the human body. The brain connects and reconnects to the system outside with each breath we take. What if in a moment we lose the connection? Or get only a partial connection? When the blessings of the moments are with us we don't realise its value and treat them casually. Only when we see it is missing know the importance of it.
Love, anger, sympathy, hatred, sadness….all is only for people who are conscious. Take away the consciousness and you are free from everything. When we have memory at some time and no memory after some time things are not that easy.
Love is the major cause of any revenge or crime. With whose love you identify will define which side you will stand. When love take in charge and ask you to revenge nothing can stop you, since you are in the clutches of the greatest force in the universe. Ghajini is a film which unfolds such a story.
Amir Khan's performance is the highlight of the movie. Amir played different moods of Sanjay Singhania with perfection. As a serious businessman to a young lover to helpless victim to roaring tiger of revenge Amir excels!!
Asin did her role well. So is other cast.
Cinematography by Ravi Chandran is excellent. Music by AR Rahman and choreography by Ahmed Khan are good.
The Second best part of the movie is its story telling style. The writer director Muragadoss presented theold theme in a refreshing way. The director knows the audience pulse and keeps them entertained and engaged with one emotion or other. He convinces the audience first and thereby assured the company of the viewers thereafter in the proceedings.
Any minus?
Amir Khan’s character turned out to be a more than life one with all powerful action scenes in the final parts (Here I permit the cinematic freedom) and digest it somehow.
The heroine who imitate as the girl friend of the much known business magnet don’t identify him may be true, but what held her from checking on internet or with friends how he will looks like? Moreover everybody else in the film knows him but not she.
The climax action scenes should have been edited for better. The hero all enthusiastic to meet the opponent turns powerless as soon as he meets the villain. At the end, the hero succeeds only on the weakness of the villain of letting him go out of hook. Given the power and eagerness in him the villain looks a small prey for him. Still the director wanted the villain to be strong further. (I always considered that strong villains make good films but the attempt went a bit further than required in the climax).
However, in the midst of many other nonsensical films the movie stands apart to make it a Must watch.
My rating: 4.5 stars
