I am resident of Hyderabad, owning a Santro car, which has a remote locking system provided by Autocop. The model no. as given to me by Hyundai is 4170. I logged a complaint on Oct. 4th 2008, regarding the problem I am facing with the car locking system. One of the car door is not getting closed and reverse horn is not working. On 4th Oct., they took my complaint logged on Ph. no. 040-27510414. The girl whom I talked to was very rude and straight away rejected to even log a complaint as I was initially unable to provide the model number, which was nowhere found on the key. I contacted the Hyundai people and got to know the model number from them. Then I called up. The girl took all my details and gave me the complaint number saying that a person will be coming on Monday, the 6th of Oct. My request to send a person on that day since my car was kept unlocked, was straight away rejected, even though I had called up in the morning itself. I kept my car unlocked for two days, i.e. Saturday and Sunday, hoping that the problem will be resolved by autocop on Monday.
On Monday, even though it was not feasible for me to take the car to office because of the traffice jams happening on the flyover from my house to office, I took it out and drove to office with great difficulty. Till evening noone from autocop called me up, neither the service personnel nor the office people. At around 5:30 PM, I called up at the same number and asked what happened to my complaint. Unfortunately, I had forgotten the complaint number by that time. The girl again asked me the complaint numbed. When told that I had forgotten the complaint number, she abruptly denied to provide any service at all and said that I have to log a new complaint and the person will be coming tomorrow. I provided all the other details like my name, car number, contact number, but of no use. She said she is not able to track any complaint with those details( so strange!). I rushed to home thinking that I will get the complaint number which I had written in a book. By the time I reached home, it was 6:15 PM. I tried to call that number many times after that. Once the number was engaged, but after that noone ever picked the phone. So, that day was also gone without resolving the issue. On tuesday, I called up in the morning itself to ensure that a person will be coming to see the car. Fortunately I had the complaint number now. As soon as I gave the complaint number, the girl on the other side had all the details like my phone number, name etc. She said someone will be coming today to take a look at the car. Again on tuesday noone came. I lost the hopes of anyone coming. On wednesday I did not take my car to office. and surprisingly, at around 3:00 PM autocop service person called up and said that he is nearby my office and can come to have a look at the car now.
I said I am in office and did not bring the car today. My house is only 6 kms from office and if he can come there, I will leave my office and be at home for him. The service personnel said that he was not the person to work in that area and cannot come there. Some other engineer will be coming in that area, and asked me to contact the office girl again. I called up at office only to get the answer that now it was not possible for anyone to come and see the car since all the people were very busy, blaming me that I gave the wrong address. She said she will send someone on Saturday. I told that I was supposed to go out of town and will be back on wednesday. So she agreed to send someone on next wednesday.
On Thursday, when I left from my home in the morning to go out, around 40 kms away from the city, autocop service personnel called up and said that he will come to my place(at my home) and see the car. I was surprised with this call and told him that I am already around 15 kms away from the city. It was the same person who refused me on tuesday, saying that my home does not fall under his work area( Ph. no. 9885571660). I agreed that he should come the next day to my office/home, whatever is convenient for him. I returned back from city outskirts in the night, just to make sure that my car gets repaired at least of Friday, so that I can be relaxed while parking it somewhere outside. Today Morning(Friday), when I called up the autocop person, he denied coming saying that today is a holiday for him. When I asked why he promised me yesterday, he said some other person will be coming.
I asked who is the other person, then he said he doesn't know and gave me another office number to contact( 040-65216509). when calling up on this number, same rude girl picked up the phone. She said that all engineers are on leave today and she can't send anyone. She took the number of the person from me. Now she promises to send a person tomorrow, which I am not sure since I have to go outskirts and I will be back only on Wednesday and I am supposed to live with a car without locking system working properly and supposed to drive it without reverse horn. So much to the great autocop service.
