I own a Window AC from Godrej, bought last summer but I felt a need to have an Air Cooler as well so that I can use it in other room if somebody visit me or to use in living room as and when needed since you are not confined to your room all the time and AC is not a movable appliance.
Finally, I decided to go for an Air Cooler after lot of thinking. First, I went to branded coolers but there was nothing available below 5, 000(apart from small ones). I was not in mood to spend that much so I shifted to explore Local Brands. Its then I got to know that I can get a good deal at Krishna Nagar near Yousufguda, Hyderabad.
I decided to explore Krishna Nagar and there I found some shops which were extensively dealing with Air Coolers. Most of them have the similar products; just the outside body finish looks different. So I would say one type of product with different packing across different shops. Price range started from 2000 Rs to 1600 Rs, it all depends on bargaining skills, and you may even get below 1600 if you are a good bargainer. On purchase, sales agent told me that they have sold hundreds of pieces for this product and complaints are few. I was also given a guarantee of one year.

My experience so far
For effective cooling, Air Cooler should be kept outside the room, preferably in contact with fresh air. There should be open ventilation in the room in form of an open window when Cooler is switched on. This will provide with effective cooling.
I have practised the same and is completely satisfied with the performance of this Air Cooler. It cools the room effectively and quickly even in Hyderabad’s Summer. It is definitely worth for just 1600 Rs.
