I am sharing my experience of shipment of my bike through "GATI Line Packers and Movers".
Don't confuse it with original GATI Packers and Movers, this company is "Indore, (M.P.)" based transport company.
Summary:
I was supposed to get the shipment by 7-8 Apr as I have told for delivery before 10 Apr, now its 12 Apr still waiting for it.
Anwar(At Indore Office) is really a good, polite and soft spoken person who make every possible effort to get the things done(Which I really appreciate). but unfortunately he is unable to manage the things properly as the things are not in his control once it left from Indore and not to mentioned their Bangalore counterpart people are even WORST than him. They don't care at all. They have the attitude that "Its your shipment go and get it, we can't do anything and we will not do anything".
1) These people are NOT professional, don't keep the required documents copy with them. They asked me my ID card and Drop location more than 5-10 times.
2) They are unable to keep commitment on delivery timeline. If they told they will deliver on 10 Apr, there are high probability that they won't deliver and it doesn't end here. There will not be any communication telling the delivery couldn't been done and it have been re-schedule for tomorrow or something. But when you call, they will give excuses. They will just tell, we didn't had the people who can take your shipment for delivery, that's why didn't deliver on said date.
DID I MENTION, THEY DON'T HAVE THEIR OWN TRAVEL ARRANGEMENT AND THEY WILL SEND YOUR SHIPMENT WITH "VXPRESS PVT LTD", WHICH IS ONE OF THE WORST TRANSPORT COMPANY. Just talk to their customer support, you will get the feel.
Instead of everyday delay and so many followups, I would have really appreciated if they would have told me that they can deliver it on 12 April(and not before that)
instead of 7-8 Apr and have actually delivered the shipment on time or before that. I Would have been more happy to pay the promised Sum.
Detailed Review:
I spoke to Anwar, who is the only "polite" and "kind person" in the entire company. Based on the conversation, given the shipment contract for "DOOR to DOOR" delivery for Rs 4000. As per the plan they came and packed the bike on the said date(Tuesday, 3rd Apr 2018), and told the bike is shipped on the same day evening.
Untill now everything seems perfect, now the problems starts. The shipment was supposed to be delivered in 4-5 days i.e. Sat or Sun(07 - 08 Apr 2018), but when I called anwar he gave me contact of Bangalore Person(Sohel) and when I asked him, he don't have any idea where the bike is unloaded. Sunday their office remains closed, but they are surprisingly telling office is closed(looks like that day only they came to know).
I asked to deliver the bike on Monday, but when called to SOHEL(the most ridiculously person) on Monday Morning, now he is asking me to take the bike from the WareHouse, as they cannot bear the cost of loading vehicle(which he claim to be Rs 2500) and asking me to pay. I spoke to Anwar and later talked to Sohel again, now he is telling they CANNOT deliver it with Loading Vehicle, rather they will unpack on thier own and drive the bike to the destination location. What the hell is this?
On Monday Night around 9:00 pm, got call from Anwar again and he told that he agreed some person who can deliver the bike but by riding it to my place(near Marathalli).
and request me to co-operate as they cannot do it in loading vehicle due to cost(as the driver who took it from Indore to Bangalore, dropped the bike to very far location).
Cooperatively I agreed to that, and asked him to deliver it on Wednesday morning(around 10-11 am). To my surprise again, NO ONE CAME FOR DELIVERY.
I called Anwar at around 10:30 am, and he is asking me that "he didn't came?" Let me check with him sir, and he checked for 2-3 hr and called me back at 1:00pm to tell that bike has now reached to the nearest possible location to the delivery place, can you pick it on your own?
I dont know whether these people understand about "DOOR to DOOR" Delivery or not.
Finally, around 4'O clock on Wednesday(11, Apr) they told me that bike will be delivered by 6:00 pm today.
and guess what AGAIN NOBODY CAME FOR DELIVERY, not even a call from their end telling, why it cannot be delivered. THAT's a HIGHLY UN-PROFESSIONAL way doing of BUSSINESS and CARELESS BEHAVIOUR.
At the time of contract, it was clearly told to give the delivery before 10 Apr, but its 12 Apr today(when I am writing this review). Till now I didn't receive the bike. Still waiting and don't know how many more follow ups I will have to do(which I shouldn't be doing at all).
Why would you spend an hefty amount of Rs 4000-5000, if you only have to take all these headaches. There shouldn't be any need of my involvement in this. It would be better to sent through Railway and get from there for just Rs 2000 on your own instead of wasting time in followup daily with these reckless people.
