Following is my 1st hand feedback/observation at Ganpati Honda:
On my visit at Ganpati Honda, Palam Vihar on 25th January 2021 for service and other maintenance issues for my Honda Activa. I asked them very specifically to check the vehicle thoroughly and let me know every possible issue that they as professional technicians can observe.
We spent nearly 1 hour including a test ride by their mechanic/technician to understand the issues and what it will take to ensure that my vehicle should be in perfect running condition.
Following were the things they said are required to be changed in order to run this vehicle in the best condition:
1.Front Chimta
2.Handlebar
3.Rear shocker bush
4.Race wire
5.Choke Cable
6.Rear Breakshoe
7.Engine Oil
8.Sanatisation
9.Both hub cover
10.Silence Cover etc. with a total approx estimate of Rs. 6705/- + Rs. 190/- Total Rs. 6895/- (Attached is the job card for reference) + either I can pay for service or I can get this service free and 2 additional washing free.
During the service they called me and said, we have to change a lot of other parts in the engine and clutch, which will cost me another Rs. 5, 000 to Rs. 6, 000 (which is almost double from the given estimate) or your Activa will not run properly.
I could still understand a few items that they might come to know after working/opening on the vehicle but parts like brake lever/brake wire/reflector etc. were not even required to be changed they were working perfectly, I didn't have any complaints regarding break. I told the service adviser very clearly that am not concern about any cosmetic part or beautification but they still ended up changing so many parts.
Moreover I specifically told them to check the mirrors adjustments, one person wanted to prove himself said its just one minute job and I'll fix it right away (and trust me they didn't repair it, in fact, they broke it, removed it and kept it under the seat and never talked about it in any of their conversations, until I reached to collect the Activa after I have paid the full amount.
Summary of Ganpati Honda (Authorised Service Centre):
1.Estimate was Rs. 6, 895 (including labour without discount) and the billed amount had Rs. 3, 000/- only for labour.
2.The overall billed amount was approx Rs. 13, 000/- and the due amount is Rs. 10, 953/- after discount. The bill is so complicated that you can't even understand what is what.
3.They will say anything to get the job in 1st place and then just double up your bill and if the vehicle is not running properly after service, they will simply say that customer refused to get the job done.
4.Servive adviser/technician doesn't know their job because they can't even give an estimate that is nearly close to the billed amount.
5.Too much labour amount for everything. They will charge labour for every part installation.
6.They will damage your vehicle and just deliver it without even repairing it.
7.When I asked them to give me old/removed parts, they refused to even show them to me.
8.Worst floor manager, he doesn't care 1% about customer satisfaction. At the time of billing when I asked all these things, he didn't even stand up or came out or even talked about it. Billing was done and he has nothing to say that can convince a customer, that why there is so much difference in billed amount, what is it for. All the time that person was sitting inside the spare/billing room in the basement with his hands in his pocket and what bad attitude this guy has.
9.Ganpati Honda guys will change the parts that were not even required or asked for just to increase the bill.
10.If the assembly is changed their billing system will still put everything part by part and just make the final bill looks so complicated that you can't even discuss what is what.
