I have seen this movie yesterday only and I have loved this movie. The movie is shown greatly or perfectly in terms of story and twisty plot. Currently, the IMDB rating of this movie is 4.3/10. The movie has shown the story of Ganga, who raise in a reputed family of Kathiawad, Gujarat.
She has fond of movies and wants to become a star in Mumbai or we say Bombay at that time. That's why, she ran away from her house with her lover named Ramnik, who was the accountant in her dad's office. Ramnik had sold her toa brothel for Rs. 1000. The correction here is that; in the movie, it has been shown that Ramnik has sold her for Rs. 1000, but in reality, she was sold for Rs. 500. Also, the name of the Don that is shown in the movie is changed. The name that the movie used is "Rahim Lala", but in reality, his name was "Karim Lala".
Now, her life gets sad after that,
1) How does she co-operate in this environment?
2) How did she become the President of Kamathipura?
3) How did she become a Sister of Don Karim Lala and how did he give her the name "Mafia Queen of Mumbai"?
4) How did she sacrifice herself to get the Right to Education to the girls of Kamathipura and also how did this go to our Honorable Prime Minister of India at that time, that is, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru?
The answers to the above questions have been given in the entire movie. Apart from all of these, the songs are also good at that time. Like, I never thought for a second that, "No, this Song has no relevance to the story or movie". My favorite song from this movie is, "Jab Saiyaan" sung by Neeti Mohan.
Thereafter, the role of Razia Bai, which has shown in the movie is also nice in the concept of politics. Now, why I average out this movie is because of its weak acting skills. That's why, I wrote the title of this Review as "It doesn't Meet the Expectations", because by looking at the Trailer, not I but everyone has a lot of expectations from this movie as also this movie is one of my favorite directors made too, that is, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali". I am a fan of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a lot. So I am expecting way more than his all films. All of his films are so perfectly made and with very small detailed things that no one can find out even a minute flaw from any one of the scenes in his movie.
But, this movie has not shown only met with the expectations but also is becoming a one-time watch movie for me. As a fan of SLB(Sanjay Leela Bhansali), his movies such as "Devdas", I watch everything when it features on T.V. That's why; IMDB(Internet Movie Database) has only given this movie 4.5 stars rating out of 10.
Coming to the Acting Skills of every actor featured in this movie are well differentiable, such as; Ajay Devgan, who has played the role of Don Karim Lala. Ajay had played his role with very perfection. After that, Huma Qureshi was also featured in the movie for just a single song named "Shikhayat". Vijay Raaz, who has played the role of Razia Bai, was also played his role awesomely. And, at last, but not least the acting of Alia Bhatt who has played the role of Ganga Kathiawad. Her role was brilliant as she has never played such hard and difficult to play roles in all her movies.
In conclusion, this movie is only considered a one-time watch movie and also a movie with to those people who have very interested to know the real story of Ganga Kathiawad. But also, they have manipulated or changed some of the things in the movie as I already told about some such as the amount of her selling and the name of Don Karim Lala.
