I already filed a complaint with RBI and DoT regarding the mental harassment and extortion I experienced today.
Downloaded the mobile app yesterday, placed an order, Rs 1292 was taken from my Phone Pe acct. I received a confirmation email regarding the same. I did not receive any delivery. I sent an email last night to confirm if delivery would come this morning, also provided screenshots. CS at this company is not checking customer mails properly. Around 1 pm today I called CS and spoke to a very incompetent DIANA who accused me of not placing an order and refused to check email. Only after I shouted she checked email, then made a bunch of excuses why the problem couldn't be resolved. I spoke to 5 different FEMALES who refused to refund the money back to my Phone Pe. Everyone I spoke to tried to force me to place another order, refusing to refund my money so I can spend elsewhere. After wasting 2 hours trying to get my money, a guy named Ashok called and said the refund will come only after 7-8 working days!
To be fair, Ashok was the ONLY PERSON who BOTHERED to resolve the problem and refund my money. He was VERY polite and did not come off apathetic and arrogant like the narcissistic, gaslighting, stonewalling, female reps I spoke to. However, his arm is being twisted by thieving MISMANAGERS who force customers to wait a week for a refund that can be processed immediately.
The female staff at this company are HORRIBLE, they are the Cult of Can't, repeatedly cobbling up excuses to make the problem worse. Only when I spoke to a MAN, the situation starts moving in the direction of possible resolution.
Other companies issue Phone Pe refunds within minutes, they don't drag their feet for a week. Simply this company is deliberately delaying refund in hopes that customer will forget and they can steal the money. This is full FRAUD AND THEFT. I know for a fact it's technologically possible to issue the refund to Phone Pe immediately, but they are deliberately torturing and extorting the customer. Mental harassment from narcissistic gaslighting and stonewalling is INEXCUSABLE.
Furthermore, since this stupid lockdown for a germ with a 99 percent recovery rate, the quality of service at most e-commerce companies has gone from bad to worse. Nobody is maintaining apps properly and CS is not accountable at all. These companies are not running charities, we pay PREMIUM for these services. Now the attitude is that since we are at mercy of e-commerce to eat, they can say chalta hai and do as they like and customers should tolerate mental and economic abuses!
