Freecharge is an Indian e-commerce website that provides digital payments solutions. It was founded in year 2010 & has headquarter in Mumbai, Maharashtra.I have used freecharge 2-3 to pay my home electricity bills & I got very bad experience of using it which I want to share it here & will also tell its pros & cons from my personal experience.
Cons-
No cashbacks, false promises: I have paid electricity bills, my phone bills through freecharge but never get cashbacks & many times I apply coupou either they dont work or transactions get failed by applying them & without coupons it gets successful that means coupons are fake or they made false promises.
Money got stucked: once I added money to my freecharge wallet to pay bills but since transaction for bill payment got failed so I decided to withdraw money but I couldn't as they have policy that one cannot withdraw money atleast for 6-7 week, that means they doesn't allow free transaction on both sides. And because of this I paid fined in my bill payment so very poor experience.
Withdrawal of money to bank account is allowed only after 45 days of addition. So they stuck your money & will not allow you to take your money back.very poor thing.
Not very useful as enough mercahnts are not listed like it doesnt allow to charge Delhi Metro card
Pros-
App interface is ok & user friendly.
Money can be transferred instantly to any friend, merchant or to any other number in contacts easily. Also can be send by scanning QR code very easily.
Also some exclusive features are also provided like to send money on WhatsApp etc which are good.
Overall I will give 2/5 stars from my side to freecharge for my poor experience & dont want to suggest anyone to use it or I will say if want to use be careful, first read all terms & conditions only then go with it.
