One of my favourite regional songs is'uyirin uyirin' from the Tamil Movie'Ka Kha Ka Kha'!
Its such a beautiful song with amazing picturization that you will instantly fall in love with it. I had watched the movie some 3 years back in Tamil(without understanding the dialogues) and loved the movie and was hoping to see something similar in Hindi.
So, when I first saw the promos of Force and came to know that this is a remake of the blockbuster Tamil movie, I had kept it in my "Must Watch" list straight away.
Force is about a Police officer - ACP Yashwardhan(John Abraham) who works for the NCB, is a super-commited cop and believes that his being single is his biggest strength. So, when Genelia D'Souza comes in his life and eventually proposes him, he is skeptical to accept that he also loves her but then he
gradually gives in. Around this beautiful love story, parallely, there runs another story about a Mumbai Drug Mafia, Vishnu(Vidyut Jamwal) - How he uses the NCB to evade all competition and rule the drug market. So, when his brother gets killed by the Cops, he decides to avenge his death and thus starts a
thrilling story of relentless violence, bloody action, brutal Murders, inhuman rape, adrenaline-pumping chases, loads of gore and emotional battles within!
The biggest USP of the movie is its pace. It moves at a breath-taking pace and the spectacular narration makes it seem even faster than it actually is. The action sequences actually keep your adrenaline pumping. Add a bunch of some beautiful songs and some tender romantic scenes between John and Genelia and you have a super-cool movie at your hand to keep your 2 and half hours engaged over the weekend!
Performances:
John Abraham's super-tonned body is a delight to watch. It looks as if this character was written keeping John in mind. Genelia does a good job in her role as a bubbly teacher who is initially afraid of John but then falls for him and even proposes him. Mohnish Behl and Sandhya Mridul play their part with utmost honesty. Raj Babber and Mukesh Tiwari do okay in their little camoes. But the real surprise package of the movie is'Vidyut Jamwal' aka Vishnu who vows to destroy the entire Team of Cops and their families for killing his brother. The encounters between John and Vidut are the high points of the movie. He matches John in every aspect - Be it looks or acting. Infact I would go ahead and say that at times, he scores more points that John.
Although this is a remade movie, Director Nishikant Kamat too does an appreciable job in putting his creativity at places as and when required.
My 2 cents:
I would go with / for this movie for the plot, action sequences and the performances.
Cheers!
