Yet another name to the online shopping scenario, Flipkart has failed to prove its mettle. I had purchased a Maxima watch from Flipkart for Rs. 1102 the price of which dropped the next day to Rs.899. I called up customer service and the rep guy told me that there is nothing that can be done as my payment was made through card. That was a lousy excuse!
The watch arrived within 5 days. Worked fine for two months. And then one fine day when I held the watch to put it on, I noticed that some of the numerals within the watch had simply fallen off! The watch was under warranty. So I reached the customer service again, and again the rep told me that nothing can be done about it except for taking the watch to the Maxima service center at my own expanse and that they can only provide me the invoice of my watch. Duh? The nearest Maxima service center is in another town. Is it worth it to spend 500 bucks on fuel only to get a budget watch fixed?
Amazon is way better in both the aspects. I have encountered similar issues on a few products I purchased from Amazon and their service was impeccable. I will never go with Flipkart again!
