My List is Different. Review on Five Best Hollywood Horror Films

Since all reviews has mentioned Horror classics like PSYCHO, THE EXORCIST, JAWS, and THE EVIL DEAD... I am not going to mention these movies (After all these are classics which you don't want to miss)... I am mentioning those films which others haven't mentioned in their lists... So here we go...

1. Drag me to hell:-This is not a horror classic by any means.. It has too much blood and violence.. But The Evid dead Director Sam raimi's film is exciting with lots of "JUMP OF THE SEAT" moments.. There are a couple of scenes where I literally Jumped or DRAGGED of the seat...

   
   




2. The Signs:-M. Night Shyamalanis one of my preferred director... Most of his films are slow moving.. This one is no exception, but if you have the patience to sit through you will be thrilled.. With this film Shymalan proves once again an expert at building up the suspense and giving audience the chills..

   
   




3. The Silence of the lambs:-American thriller film that blends elements of the crime and horror genres.. The films lead Anthony Hopkins's flawless portrayal of Dr. Hannibal lector gives birth to one of the all time scariest characters you will ever see in films..The Silence of the Lambs placed seventh on Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments for Lecter's infamous escape scene...

   
   




4. The Descent:- The Descent has the look and feel of a B- Grade movie.. If you enjoy B- Grade fun.. This one keeps you engaged and some powerful performances from the leads makes this film a head bang experience.. It has a negative ending to it which you may or may not like it.. But you will all agree that it has its moments...

   
   

5.The sixth sense:-Undoubtedly this is M. Night shyamalan's best offering.. The sixth sense is more of a suspense thriller than a basic Horror movie.. Bruce willi's brilliant performance and an intelligent ending is enough to keep you engaged.. The line from this movie "I SEE DEAD PEOPLE" became famous and reached American film institutes #44 on 100 Years... 100 Movie Quotes

I am also giving a special mention on two of my favourite movies.. Paranormal activity 2 and Mirrors... Both films gives a one time watch...
