Firefox.. the premium ride. Review on Firefox Bicycle

After joining my MBA I had no time for my physical exercises. So I decided to buy a bicycle. One of my friend suggested me to buy a firefox as he was using one. I needed a bicycle for nearby commutation that would keep me healthy and also I could do my small work.

I had to think twice before buying it as I had to pay a premium price for it. So I visited a nearby firefox outlet and tested one I was amazed with it so I bought one.

Comfort

The seat is the most comfortavle bicycle seat I have ever experienced. It is narrow in the front and broad in the rear which gives a very comfortable ride. The front suspensions make the ride more comfortable and the rear suspension which are under the seat makes the ride more exciting. The body shape specially the distance between the handle and the seat is just perfect which do not give shoulder pains.

Tyres

The tyres are of a very good quality and have good grippers that do not slip even on wet surfaces. It provides better support for steep curves and immediate cuts. The tyres are tubesless which is an additional feature. However, repairing a punctured tubeless tyre costs much higher.

Gear

It is has 18 gears combination. The gear shift is really smooth and every gear has its own uniqueness that can be used on different type of tracks, slopes, etc, . The bike does not has a chain guard which may sometimes get the riders pants stuck in the chains.

Brakes

The firefox has a disk brake in the front and drum brakes in the rear which are very effective and do not give tough rides which braking. The front brake needs timely mentainance as the disk requires oiling.

Health ride

The body shape makes the stomach crunch which helps to make abs effectively and more faster as you peddle.

Appearance

It has stunning looks. It look more of a mountain bike but it is meant for city rides.

Durability

The bike is meant for smooth long rides. It is not advicable to practice stunts on it as the front suspension is not meant to do so. However, if the bike is used for what it is meant for then there is nothing more durable then this.

Price

I know people are more price concerned when it comes to their health. It is an expensive one it costs Rs. 15, 800/-.

Aftersales service

It clearly gives a major difference between a premium brand and a local brand. I had problems relating the gear shift in the first two days. I had called the service station and on the same day the service person was at my place and the problem was solved with 15 minutes. I was stunned looking at the service quality.

Conclusion

The best one for those who want to stay fit and do not mind spending a higher amount for a bicycle.
