Is it Vin Diesel in this movie? Vin Diesel, the burly guy who is just ultra cool, the neo-Sylvester stallone/Bruce Willis.acting in a movie where he plays a character who is just such a softie, that you go like.man Is it really Vin Diesel, in there? And he can ACT!
Wow.I never thought of him as an actor, more like this muscular persona who is so in your face that you never gonna miss the sight of him even if he seems to be in the background. The super action 500 guy! In'Find me guilty' Vin Diesel plays a character who is so lovable, that you would check if the volume is up on full and switch seats to get a better hearing.so does the . when he says" what did he say, I didn't get the punchline' lol .Have you heard anyone at a trial say that?
This movie is a bundle of surprises, picture this:
A mafia gang, whose at a trial, well 21 of them are, there is a plethora of evidence, surveillance cameras, and an amazing amount of witnesses lets see, around 450 witnesses, and the trial lasts 621 days, almost 2 years! The hero of the film is this guy called "Jackie Dornoscio" our very own Vin Diesel, a man who cares for the family, who goes by the motto' What happens in the family, stays in the family'. Jackie seems to be connected to the family in such an intimate way, that the number of witnesses brought in, have in someway had a good-relationship with the cocaine addict Diesel. Though Diesel, is a drug peddler he is a good human being right? Well, he shows the jury he's the good guy.and how? Well for that you have to watch the movie!
For one thing, when I say a trial, the vision in front of you is a courtroom, when I say Vin you get action drama. This is one movie that's real crazy from the begining, it will distort this vision drastically, as I say it! Cuss words moving around the conversation like they were family, a mafia story through and through, but mostly concentrating on the mafia rich lifestyle.the way they are, simple fun loving creatures, who love to eat good food, 250 pounders walking around wearing paper hats and celebrating birthdays, flirting with women outside the family and loving their wives even though being
unfaithful sometimes, well it's just a story about'Men'.Truly fooling around, and adding humour to life.
Vin Diesel, is so fantastic in his performance that in the 10 minutes of the movie we forget he is that action drama character afterall.WOW, that's some feat for a director to achieve really. I mean if you can make Vin Diesel act and make you cry, you have really done it. The Director, Sidney Mulet directed'Dog Day Afternoon' one of my favorite Al Pacino movies, and boy this movie was a rage! It was a classic, I still remember the greatest characters built by Sidney, 'Sonny', again based on a true story, Sidney has this tact of adding humour to a very serious storyline. Like for instance a robbery gone horribly wrong, but the guy who is robbing is actually a good guy.it's kinda same here.but it's his individualistic touch which is real special.Seems like Sidney has fun with the idea of nonstereotyping the villain, he plays around with the characters giving the situation an entirely new look. We fall in love with Al Pacino, and so does the public. In'Find me guilty' too everyone just loves Vin/ Jackie.
It's like this, if you're looking at at some mafia fun and a hilarious surprise by Vin D, and his excellent performance, sometimes you even tend to shout at the screen, 'WTF have you forgotton, you're Vin D?" How can you take this sh*t from that man?" .Grr.but then you just smile at Jackie's funny one liners. Mafia gangsters have always been portrayed as ruthless, but they're soft-at-heart Italians, who love to cuss and eat good food and have women all around.This movie is about the love that the mafia gangsters have between them. The loyalty and the respect. It starts with a quiet pace, and ends like a breeze. Gives you real interesting and hilarious one-liners, and ends with a feel good factor.
If you're looking at a through and through mafia movie, watch Mystic River, an interesting take on mafia and friendship, But if you're looking at having some fun, this movie is just for you!
Of course, don't go expecting for the experience of cult movie'Dog Day Afternoon', but it's definitely worth a watch for that sexy, handsome, and now a fantastic actor, Vin Diesel. So call up your local DVD rental fella, and order for one right now. A good whole 2 hours will definitely leave a smile on your faces.
