UI/UX Design Course Review. Review on Felix IT Systems, Pune

The overall learning experience at Felix IT Solutions was amazing. Learned a lot within the course period while working on the individual project. Placement assistance is also very much appreciated. I would like to highlight some honest pros & some areas of improvement that would make learning at Felix more streamlined.

Pros:

1. The teaching staff has a good experience in the field of UI/UX Design.

   
   




2. The knowledge is shared in regular sessions and project queries were resolved during the sessions as well.

   
   




3. Most of the times, the instructor shared real-life experiences that they encountered during their career.

   
   




4. Parts of the promised syllabus were completed, once the management was approached regarding the same. Hence, the management's support is really appreciated.

   
   




5. Technical Mock & HR Mock Interview were carried out for better understanding of the placement process.

   
   




6. Faculty was approachable & ready to guide in case of doubts regarding the projects & assignments.

   
   




7. Recieved emails from the companies regarding assignments frequently. Thanks to the HR at Felix for forwarding the resume to those respective companies.

   
   

Areas of Improvement:

1. The information provided at the time of joining is inline with the market standards and people end up expecting too much based on the provided information.

   
   




2. The institute lacks a standard format of their syllabus that is followed by each instructor. Each instructor follows his own copy of syllabus and tends to miss out on some of the content that was promised at the time of joining.

   
   




3. At the time of joining it was never mentioned we require 3 projects in the portfolio. Once the course was completed, we had only worked on 1 full-fledged project, and the other 2 projects were expected to be delivered on a short notice. (Being a working professional it takes a lot of time to prepare a full-fledged project)

   
   




4. We were promised to work on a live industrial project in the provided syllabus, but we only worked on an individual self-project.

   
   




5. Figma should be included in the syllabus as everyone is expecting for the same in the market rather than XD in the current scenario.

   
   




6. Project documentation & Portfolio preparation sessions could be improved if there is prior blueprint to teach how to do them.

   
   




7. Online alternatives to traditional softwares that are widely popular should be introduced to the students. That'll help build curiosity in them.
