I ordered some fabric from this site and after receiving it, it has left me questioning the reputation of the company.
I understand people make mistakes which is why I thought I had been given the wrong product but after consulting with the team who confirmed I had been given the right products it’s left me pretty upset.
I had ordered products:
G-RYPL00008
G-MDPL00011
G-TCPL00001
G-RYPL00010
Let’s start with G-TCPL00001
It’s advertised as a denim Tencel, weighing 350 grams per meter. I had ordered 2 meters worth and what I received was 193cm that had been cut on an angle so it had even less on one side. The fabric was very soft and so I decided to weigh it and the whole 193cm weighed 390grams… now not only was it cut short but the whole amount only slightly goes over the weight of what I should have been given. On top of that, there is a large dirt crease along the warp in the middle of my piece.
G-MDPL00011 is advertised as Modal Satin, so I find it interesting as to why in the description you’ve said its “material” is “viscose”. Viscose and Modal are both rayon’s but they aren’t the same fibre so I’m not sure what was going on there. Anyway, the satin had an oil stain and another stain I can’t quite identify but it’s altering the texture of the fabric which has me a little concerned. This piece of fabric was also cut short but by 11cm this time.
Product G-RYPL00010, the “moss rayon modal” also had two separate dirt stains. This one was cut short by 13cm.
Given all of that, it didn’t leave me with any hope for G-RYPL00008. It didn’t have any stains… which should be a given on anything that you buy but it was also cut short by 8cm. I understand that there are discrepancies when it comes to fabric cutting but when all of them are cut short and uneven, it doesn’t look good on the integrity of a business.
I understand these things happen, we are all human so there will be mistakes but 3/4 are stained, all of them are cut short and one of them is half the weight it’s supposed to be so surely you can see what I’m a little upset.
I didn’t want a refund, I just want the fabric I paid for at the length that I paid for, in a quality that suggests someone wasn’t eating greasy chips while handling it or having it caught under someone’s shoe. But all I was offered in return was 10% off my next purchase, not a refund, not the postage paid to send it back and get my proper products, a whole 10% off if I decide to buy from them again, which I don't see happening any time soon unless they can prove this is just poor miscommunication
