EXCITEL BROADBAND PRIVATE LIMITED is working closely with MouthShut.com to enhance customer satisfaction.

I came to know about Excitel from a relative who stays and uses their broadband service in Uttam Nagar. I was impressed by their speed and data plans and decided to avail their services. I contacted them and enquired about their services in Niti Khand 1, Indirapuram and was told that a service technician will install the cable the next day. The next day after 40 calls to their customer care, service technician and the service technician's boss in Ghaziabad and after 60 days.


The technician asked me to purchase a Tenda router for Rs. 1000 as my current DLink router does not have a WAN port. I did so and the connection was up and running in half an hour. The cable was not installed and clipped properly as it was short. The cable comes between the hinges of my door and can get cut anytime. They joined the cable with the RJ connector directly to my laptop and tested the speed to be 93 Mbps. I was impressed and the connected the cable to the router and left. 20 minutes later, the speed had dropped to 25 Mbps and now fluctuates between 20 and 75 Mbps. The customer care executive and the service technician told me two days later that -


1) They do not commit to 100 Mbps speed on WiFi routers and that I should have asked them first about their commitment.


2) I should connect cable directly to my laptop for 100 Mbps speed - I am not living in 2000 where I should still need cables connected to my laptop.


3) If I am not satisfied, then I should get the service disconnected.


Excitel is officially the worst broadband service I have bought and do not recommend this to anyone. I am seriously disappointed but their service.
