AQUAGUARD ENHANCE RO+ UV
I recently bought Aquaguard Enhance RO+UV water purifier for home which has a storage capacity of 8 ltrs. This means if you are out of home and water supply timings are irregular, this takes the water from tap when the supply resumes, stores and purifies it for your use whenever you are back home. It has a multi-stage Reverse Osmosis(RO)water purification process for pure water. This makes water free from microorganisms and with lesser Dissolved Solids. UV technology removes bacteria, virus and other impurities.
We purchased it before the price rise in October 14 and got it for Rs. 12, 390/- Inclusive of Taxes, delivery and installation.
Looks and design:
Since it has a storage of 8 ltrs its on a little bulkier side but looks modern and goes well with interiors. It's has black & white color scheme and plastic quality is good. It displays the power on and off and water level. Press button for water is easy to use and my 7 year old daughter too can help herself.
Water Taste:
It claims it Enhances taste but I have not experienced much difference as we get mix of corporation and bore well water.
Water Quality:
It claims it removes things like lead, pesticides and heavy metals from water however we as a laymen don't know much about it. We never had any health problem ever since we installed one and that is more important.
Technology:
It has mutiyarn wound i-filter, chemi block cartridge for deep filtration and free of membrane. It has Silver Surety Technology which inhibits growth of waterborne disease-causing bacterias.
Some more features:
It is Suitable for Salty or Brackish water.
Filtration process includes I-Filter, Chemi block, EMLE, Reverse Osmosis Membrane, Taste Enhancer Cartridge & Ultra Violet but these may be marketing jargons to impress the buyer. As mentioned earlier, it does give good and pure water but we dint feel much difference in taste.
Claimed Life of UV Lamp is 5000 burning hours. It comes with 1 Year warranty.
Installation:
It's a compact unit and can be installed on wall close to water tap. Dimensions are 316x251x462 mm weighting 8.2 kg and 230V power.
Installation guy did a clean job without harming kitchen tiles. Did the drilling, fitting, installing and making it functional. Entire job was done in 45 mins. The guy was helpful and he came back again to check when corporation water resumed. He also installed a pressure reducing valve to regulate water pressure in the tap.
*Imp: you need to fill and empty it at least thrice before consuming filtered water initially.

Verdict:
You can go for it as it gives worry free, clean and pure water. 8 ltr storage is useful if you go out of town for long duration. You will get fresh water from it when you come back. Even if there is no water in tap, just lift the flap on top and fill any water manually and it will give clean water. It is a decent looking unit which doesn't take up much space.
I will update this review based on my experience with product and after sales service time to time as I can see a lot of negative reviews.
