Rajnikanth Carries Endhiran to it's glory!

First up let me declare that I am relieved that SRK chose not to do this script and shanker did the right thing in getting rajnikanth to do it, because Enthiran is an absolute azz kikr! And there is no way anyone else on earth could have carried it through.

Amongst other things that sting is the fact that there is no "Intro" sequence, which is replaced by a de-glam rajni look. Although the second half has such a sequence, it pales in comparison to the "MGR" intro in "Sivaji". More surprising though is the lack of any real "punch dialogues"(Which is more the victim of the script, because at rajni's villainous best there is no one who dares to stand up to him unless of course they had no choice or wished to be decorated with fancy bullet holes). It's definitely not as funny or loaded with style factors as Shanker's previous movie "sivaji" and the background music score is disappointing.

Though what "Enthiran" misses out in things mentioned above, it more than just makes up with a healthy dose of naughty rajni humor, amazing dialogues("manushanga padachadule rende rendu than." dialogue especially is a treat for both aish and rajni fans) and his old school antics(Watch out for the evil laughs, the walk and the leaning on a building pose in the midst of complete chaos). The songs are peppy, catchy and picturized amazingly well serving to endorse shanker's clam to the title of "The master of grandeur".

The movie is largely light hearted in the first half and sets up real well for an amazing negative performance by Rajnikant who just explodes with absolute villainy, endorsed by the fact that he is extremely strong and was built with the idea of replacing soldiers in battle. Even through his marauding best the Robo character keeps his sense of humor intact which endears him to the viewer more than his reel life creator. The absolute clincher though is the jaw dropping climax sequence. It's worth shelling out the big bucks just to see the final 20 minutes of this movie in a packed theatre. If you plan to see this movie from a DVD/VCD then I assure you that you'll lose out on one of India’s best movie going experiences.

Rajnikanth’s movies never make sense logically, which to his fans is an object of attraction, something which he is licensed to wield with almost absolute indiscretion. His almost infallible success rating is only an endorsement of this fact. This movie is quite silly at times and at times unbelievable and when you add rajnikanth to this mix it turns into a mind blowing movie experience. Don't be naive enough to miss it!
