Story:

By the title, you may think ''How many times does this guy need to read a book, to get to know about it?''

Well...its nothing like that, its just that I have a big collection of books and I just like reading so I read, re-read and then re-read (yeah, again!) the same books.

Since I had heard a lot about Paulo's The Alchemist (I havent read it) I saw this bok, Eleven Minutes in my cousin's book shelf, she is an avid reader just like me but she is also a conservative, so she was somewhat ashamed to show me the book. I finally pried it out.

Well.....the book deals with one of the most taboo topics in the Indian Society (Bharatiya Samaj), prostitution.

The title, seems odd at first glance but u get to understand that it simply is the time taken to service one customer (intelligent people would read b/w the lines of the last statement)

11 Minutes is the story of Maria, a girl from a small town, who keeps falling in love and then breaking her heart to finally learn the hard way that there is no real love in the world, in other words the world is full of selfish people.

The story is somewhat synonymous with the story of Julie, the hindi flop movie, but then is quite different. In the end, Maria finally returns home, unmarried but HAPPY.
