Let me tell you a tale about study abroad consultancies of India(especially of Indian origin). During my long tenure of staying in Pune, I worked with a couple of them namely Edwise and Global Opportunities both located in the same building. Similarity: they both send students abroad for all types of education, and secondly they both are fraud. Believe me!
They conduct education fairs across the nation in big hotels but when it comes to service and morality – they would screw anyone’s life for their commission. But how do they do that. They have smart educational counselors who further entice students and send them abroad – whether they are getting the right course or not – that’s not their duty to crosscheck. I worked in Edwise, there were all female staff except me, everyday they were interested about only gossiping and office politics. It was like a Big Boss House. The manager highly egotist, would curse younger ladies like anything – that was funny to note that. Not for a single day(despite working there for many months) I felt that I belonged to that company. The height of politics reached a level that I had to run away from that job and changed my career course altogether. When there is so much politics involved in a company, then on what basis that company can serve malleable and innocent students – who wanted to make great careers in their lives.
