Hi,
I wanted to share with you my expreicne with Ebay. There is no doubt that ita a big portal , but I have found somethign fundamentally wrong with ebay. I have purchased in all three items form ebay till now. First time I bought a PDA phone. Ebay took nearly 4-5 days to approve my order and by the time it got approved the item went out of stock. So I had to apply for a refund and it took me nearly 1 month for eaby to refund my money back. they played on my money for 1 month.
Next time, I went a purchased a little more expensive phone and to my surprise thsi time they wanted me to fax not only an apporval letter to mumbai but also front and back of my credit card. I was not at all comfortable with this as any body can misue my card once this information if faxed. However I realised that this is the way it works and I had to do it to get my item, so hoping nothing will go wrong , I faxed it. That also I did not get the item on promised tiem but I go it.
Third time, I wanted to see if the experince was the same if I buy smaller items so I decided to shop for items below 1000 Rs and bought a automobile accessory. This time I was nto disappointed, It worked as a true e-commerce site.
So, I belive e-bay is right for only small value purchases . Hope my experience helps all members of this forum
