EAST INDIA PHARMACEUTICAL WORKS is one of the premier and old pharmaceutical companies of India.Having its roots deeply casted in kolkata it remains in the shade of its glorious past.If the products are taken in consideration they are excellent.brands like pyrigesic, vitazyme and tonoferon still rules the market with its quality but the lack of marketing upgradation professional approach has really landed the company into doldrums.Moreover the co depends too much on sycophancy quality and efficacy are not the hallmarks to survive here, people who are close to upper management and is blessed by them can survive forever no matter how inefficient they maybe.Even unlike most other pharma companies people close to management can work years togather after their retirement even hijacking the benefits to be given to the newer employees.Besides the over invoicing done to meet targets every year has inflicted heavy loss on the company's finance and in reality turned the co into a pauper as they could not timely reimburse the salaries and expenses of staff.Also once East india pharmaceutical was reputed to be a govt. concern due to the stability of job here which has completely eroded now and such reputation is a misnomer and misleading for the present situation coupled with this the nonchalant attitude of the owners have led to its demise.I would surely not recommend anyone to start his career here but definitely suggest everyone to try the products.
