Google Earth combines the power of Google Search with satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3D buildings to put the world's geographic information at your fingertips.
You can see maps, popular tourist spots, have a tour of the site or see a view in 3 D of any where.
Since Google Earth was launched users have been exploring the world and creating content overlays to share their explorations with others.
There are downloads, products and a place to get help.

Google Earth is free unless you want to upgrade it to Google Earth Plus, ($20.00 USD). It will enhanced network access for faster performance. Real time GPS tracking and track/waypoint import that is used for upload of data from select GPS devices and verified support for Magellan and Garmin devices only.
It does not support export of track or waypoints to a GPS. Greater than on screen resolution printing for impressive hardcopies A spreadsheet importerto import locations from CSV files.

Google Earth Pro for$400.00 USD. You can even export high quality images to documents or the web. This shows the immages in 3D drawing tools.
They are now highlighting user created KML, (their original fomat), files. With your upgraded Pro subscription, you get additional measurement tools(square feet, mile, acreage, radius and so on), so simply select the points on the screen using your mouse and let Google Earth calculate the rest. You get high resolution images, (up to 11" x 17), with 4800 pixels and 890 to use as documents.

Type in your home address and you will see where you live.
If you can't see it you have to download "Sightseer".

However:
Although Google says you can see what's happening in real time that is not true.
The map of your house and business may be a few days old.
The streets are often a month old.
