As my subject indicates, this location is simply superb. Being one of the tallest waterfalls in India, this one will not disappoint you. Located 60 kms from Panaji, GOA, the nearest railway station is Castle Rock. If you are going by your personal vehicle, you will be asked to stop at the main entrance gate which is 10 kms from the falls. From there everyone needs to take the govt provided Bolero's to go to the actual location. These are chargeable. The Boleros will drop you 1 km ahead of the waterfall and you will need to do a small trek of that 1 km to reach the falls. Once you reach, the views are breathtaking. During monsoon the entry is restricted. You will not find anything to eat once you start the journey thru govt vehicle. Please pack some food and water. Again, you need not carry a lot but something you need for 3 to 4 hrs. This location is great for swimmers as you will be allowed to get into the water. Life jackets are provided and must to enter into the water. Hence non-swimmers can also get into the water if interested. The only negative is if you are visiting this place on a public holiday, the chances are high that there will be lot of crowd. There is no official place to sit or rest. You will need to find a smooth rock to do so. Hope this information is helpful.
