In the past we have seen movies based on cricket like Jannat, Azhar. Dishoom is also based on the same lines but this one packs more punch and thrill - an action comedy packed one.
Firstly, regarding the plot it's quite predictable but has lot of humor and action mixed in it. You will actually feel the thrill as the countdown begins. The script is good.
The cast includes John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline in lead roles. Lot of cameos are there and you will actually like the surprises! I won't reveal it here. Better go and watch. Varun Dhawan plays a local cop here and he's quite cute and charming. He has played his role to perfection keeping it humorous like that of Dilwale. John Abraham leads from the front and he knows he's got a task at hand and can go to any extent to get it done. He is as sleek as that of Rocky Handsome. Jacqueline plays her part well and provides a great support. She will keep you glued to the screen with her charming moves. Viraj Sharma the cricketer adapts well as the story revolves around him only and he stands up for his nation. Reminds us of Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh who are dedicated to their country.
Now coming to music, it's quite groovy. Sau Tarah ke will keep lingering in your mind even if you leave the hall. It's quite same as that of Afghan Jalebi. The background score is excellent and keeps the suspense intact. The plot strengthens at the end and doesn't fall apart. The director has managed to keep up the pace within the 2hour runtime.
The choreography and stunts have been performed neatly. They are quite graceful. It's a power packed masala Bollywood film though keeping the concept right.
Overall, the movie is quite enjoyable and can watch with your friends or family on a fine Sunday evening.
