Hi, there.
I am starting with my first review. So I will try to be as honest as possible with my review of my current internet service provider Dishnet.
(1) Purchasing ease/Availability/Pricing
Its available in majority of all cities. So availability is not a problem. And the pricing is also competitive. So no
problem there. It scores full points in this section. Thumbs up !
(2) Registration
One can either register online or by calling customer care. Theres no problem. It takes a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes in registration.
Thumbs up !
(3)Connectivity
Good connectivity . Mine always connects the first time.
(4) Speed
Much to be desired. If you are just a casual surfer i.e. just surf the net then this internet service provider would do well. But if you are a download freak and need all those downloads fast on your pc then you are in for a big disappointment. If you are using a download manager for downloading your files then you might get a speed of about 2 kb/sec to 2.5 kb/sec max. Thats the maximum I got during late evening. During day time its good to imagine what the speeds might be.
And if by chance you are using a file sharing program like morpheus you are in for a big headache downloading all the pics and songs. I got a maximum speed of 1.9kb/sec during midnight. During the day the speeds dropped to a pathetic .05kb/sec to .09kb/sec!! sometimes 0.25kb/sec
very very very slow.
If you are currently using Dishnet's dial up connection then please log on to https://zdnetindia.com and look for the link to 'How fast is your ISP' . It will give you a fair idea of your current speed. I am currently logged on to it and behold my dishnet speed is a pathetic 3.5kbps. My former internet service provider MantraOnline always gave an average of 30kbps.
So you guys get an idea . right?
I dont say that the test is conclusive but it gives a good idea of the speed of your internet service provider.
Thumbs down
(5) Customer Care
Average.
