I purchased Dish TV on Saturday afternoon, where by I had to go to the dealer three times to get him to send the details for the Install as the dealer had no clue as to what the subscriber application form is or what he is supposed to do with it..
I called customer serviceso from there I was sent from pole to post between the dealer and viceversa from dealer saying that I have to call customer service... I finally received a call on Monday morning that the installer would cometo my address 99% on Monday and so I waited but all in vain there was a no show from the technician for the Install....
After agreat deal I get the call from the Install engineer named Kumar that hewill arrive today that is 11th Aug 2009 between 10 - 11am so I cut offall my appointments waiting for the guy at home.... come 11:30 am thereis no engineer... I called the service number of Bharti as I had received sms from them that they will arrange for the install....
so ispoke to the supervisor there who assured me that he would call me in 5mins but he did not, but I received the call from the Installer Kumarthat he will come between 2 to 3 pm so I made it clear to him that I canceled my appointments for him so if he is waiting for electricityto come at another location he can do that later as he can come for theinstall now....
Here is the interesting part of the story..theInstaller Kumar finally shows up and does his thing and completes theInstall.... As he noticed I have a TATA SKY TOO.... he started to bragabout the quality of DISH TV.....so then after he completed checkingthe signal strength he sends sms to DISH OB with the VC no and I get acall from Delhi immediately asking verification details andsatisfaction details.... amidst all this the installer Kumar tell me towait 2 hours to leave the set top box on so that all the channels getactive..... SO I DID WHAT I WAS TOLD.... I LEFT THE BOX ON FOR 2 HOURSBUT IN VAIN I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVING ANY CHANNELS AND NEITHER IS THEHELP LINE USEFUL OF DISH TV WHERE THEY ASK FOR YOUR MOBILE NUMBER IFYOUR AN EXISTING CUSTOMER....
MY QUESTION TO DISHTV CUSTOMERCARE ...IF THIS IS THE KIND OF HORRIBLE SERVICE A CUSTOMER IS GOING TOGET NO WONDER TATA SKY IS GETTING A BIGGER CHUNK OF THE SALES AS TILLDATE FOR OVER 2 YEARS I HAVE NEVER HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM WITH MY TATASKY BE IT FROM THE DAY OF INSTALL....
IF AFTER PAYING 1181 (FOR THE SET TOP BOX) + 1134 (FOR INSTALL AND THREE MONTHS SUBSCRIPTION FOR PLATINUM CHANNELS ) =
Rs.2315 - that is Two thousand Three Hundred and Fifteen Rupees.... andwaiting for over 48 hours for the install plus 2 hours for the channelsto get activated....
It tells me that dish tv is horrible andlousy service ...for all their santsuh questions that they ask you overthe phone is just hopeless....as no one cares as this is dish tvindia........where yes they provide customer with a dish that is notgood for anything and the customer service line is hopeless
To all the buyers like me...don't purchase nay item from any shop unless they guarantee in writing that the service will be active in the time frame you want and not them....
Never buy any thing from pai electronics rt nagar as the sales men as hopeless all they do is sit outside the show and look at girls passing by...if you ask them details of product the guy will probably turn to the box and read the description from there....as customer service for both dish tv and pai is hopeless
