…you are great music directors. You have given so many hits! We younger generations love you guys because your music is just so cool and up to date with this kind of generation music as well and of course the older generation love you because…well do they have a choice?
You guys have created so many cool albums. I like the way you guys maintain keeping your own style in your music. The vibrant melodies are just so wonderful in what you guys bring out. Though, there is this one particular album of yours that has always blown me away! An album that I always have cherished in not only my CD case, but have also cherished in my heart. Those versatile melodies are always stuck in my head whilst Saif Ali Khan’s little way of dancing with his hands going up and down as if he was flying life a bird. It shows it from all the Sindhi in me. Even if it means going through exams without studying (Bhai yeh studying kya hota hai?), I have to listen to this albums of yours.
Kahani 2001 ke saal se shuru hota hai. I was just leaving home to go out with some friends on this long drive. As I was getting so irritated at my friend who was singing that crazy song from K3G as I shouted at him saying ”Abhe lecture mat do please..i love my parents!”, when a sudden sound took my attention. As I asked my friend what is that awesomely, melodiously, versatile music coming from..he told me that the music was from this new album Dil Chahta Hai.
As the music wrang in my head with such passion, I felt a feeling of love for the music. I felt room for the album in my CD case, after throwing away another album that is. (Ghabrao mat. It wasn’t a Sonu album).
.::Dil Chahta Hai::.
The song had just blown me away come to think of it, knowingly there was hardly any strong wind coming that day. Lyrics are of course wonderful and the way Shankar Mahadevan sung it was just great. It pretty much suited him a lot. The music in the background is what I was concentrating on more in the background. It is so fun to just sit down and try and make out the different instruments they use in the song, which is pretty confusing at parts but gosh, wonderful music. It gives such a fresh feeling to someone’s day.
Kaisa ajab yeh safar hai..
Socho toh har ik hi bhekabar hai..
Usko jaana kidhar hai..
Joh waqt aaye, jaane kya dhikaye..
.::Who Ladki Hai Kahan::.
A favorite song by many people I must say. Some unique music and I liked the way the music composers didn’t really bring the same type of music into each track but gave in a different feeling to this one as well, as the album seems to maintain a wide range of emotions. The song is wonderfully sung by Shaan, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Subramanian. dances like Saif Ali Khan in the song.
Jisse dhoondta hoon main har kahin..
Jo kabhi mili mujhe hai nahi..
Mujhe jiske pyaar par ho yakeen..
Woh ladki hai kahan..
.::Jaane Kyon::.
At the starting of this track there is some music which can really catch your ears quickly. I don’t know how such cool music was made however, as long as it was made I guess I am happy enough. The wordings can be hilarious at parts and that is what makes it even more entertaining. I bet if you listen to this in Australia you would feel even better about the song ;) Nicely sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Their voices seem to match in well even.
Jaane kyon log pyaar karte hai..
Jaane kyon voh kisi pe marte hai..
Jaane kyon…jaane kyon..
Jaane kyon..jaane kyon..jaane kyon..
.::Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe::.
There is loads over energy in this song. A wonderful disco kind of song which is really cool to dance with. Sung by three great singers Shankar Mahadeven, Shaan and Kay Kay and energetically sung come to think of it. Another cool song if you are thinking of ruling the worlds generation even! I find this song has a lot in it. No matter how old it gets I take it as a freshly made song. A lot of people, heck loads of teenagers would love this song. I think you would rock your party even with this song.
Koi kahe kehta rahe kitna bhi humko deewana..
Hum logon ki thokar mein hai yeh zamana..
Jab saaz hai, awaaz hai..phir kis liye hichkichaana..
Gayenge hum apne dilo ka tarana..
.::Kaisi Hai Yeh Rut::.
This is no doubt a wonderful track and the first good thing I can say about it is the wordings. Gosh, when I listen to the wordings I feel different inside my mind which I am sometimes so unable to get rid of in a way. The music is also another good thing as well. Such melodious music is what an album like this needs. A little bit of maturity too in it as well which I think Srinivas has maintained. I think this song would be appreciated as well by many of the older folks rather than just all the teenagers. However, I think the teenagers can manage to listen to these kind of songs. We are not that wild you know :)
Kaisi hai yeh rut ke jis mein phool banke dil khile..
Ghul rahe hai rang saare..ghul rahi hai khushbuein..
.::Tanhayee::.
We went through so many different emotions but as you must be asking where is the sad one? Here, of course. Of course this track has to be my favorite in the whole album. Brilliantly sung by Sonu Nigam! Yes, my one and only love sung the song :) To be honest I have never heard Sonu singing a song which had as much sorrow in it as this song did. Lyrics are so heart touching and the music gives a much more real feeling to it. Truly a wonderful song. The starting will make you want to listen to all the rest.
Tanhayee…tanhayee..
Dil ke raste mein kaisi thokar maine khaayi..
Toote kwaab saare..ek maayusi hai chhaayi..
Har khushi so gayi..zindagi kho gayi..
Tumko jo pyaar kiya main toh saaza mein paayi..
Then they have others in the album like Akash’s love theme which is worth the listen. Rocking Goa is also something cool to listen to of course, maybe you should play it in your car when you are going to Goa :D.
Well this album has always proved that it was made for my CD Case. Has always made me feel good when I listen to it.
Thanks for reading. Do rate and comment
