If Dhoom had Bikes... Dhoom 2 has bikes too (apart from the numerous other stunts). If Dhoom
one had Kabir , the leader of the bike gang, Dhoom 2 has Mr.Aryan, a one man army. If Dhoom
one was good, Dhoom 2 is awesome.
The movie grips the viewer right from the starting shot. The Train across the Namibian
desert. Hrithik's entry has been made far more superior to Johan Abraham's helmet lift and a
smile! The movie holds the viewer's attention at many points ( but makes one sleep at some
too). Dhoom 2 is worth a watch mainly for Hrithik and his cool stunts.
The story...
Mr.A is the new villian, sorry, anti-hero rather in the film. He is an international
smuggler who operates only 3 months a year and vanishes then. His stealth also has a pattern
as in Dhoom. Here, Mr.A wants to trace out an 'A' across the world by simply stealing in
selected countries. Now, India is the country which completes the A. Hence, the Mumbai
police stay on their heels to catch Mr.A. The police gang mainly consists of Jai and Ali (as
in the 1st film , but, here Ali becomes a police cop), and joining them is the super-hot
Bipasha Basu.
Mr.A announces his area of theft (unlike Dhoom, where they stole all of a sudden). A number
of extremely realistic disguises (gotta watch the film for these too!) coupled along with
Mr.A's agile and swift stunts such as Rollerblading and Skiing help him escape the chasing
police cops. Now, the Delhi police send in Sunheri (Aishwarya Rai) as their informer. She
dupes Hrithik and makes him believe her and fall in love with her.
After this, the 2nd part, is fully in Brazil's Rio De Janerio. Another sequence of close
chases and jaw dropping stunts await the viewers in the 2nd half. In short, it is a movie
packed with numerous stunts (done to professional perfection by Hrithik) with some good
songs thrown in and yes, some amazing dance from Hrithik (need I say?)
There is much about the film other than stunts and songs. There is romance, which had been
completely missed out in Dhoom. The dialogues have been crisp and stylish like Hrithik
saying , 'Bad Idea to Have No Theives, you Cops Will be jobless!' to Abhishek Bachchan.
However, apart from Hrithik, the other actors have not done a commendable performace.
Aishwarya Rai does nothing more than revealing more of her body. and Bipasha Basu has a very
confused double-role in the film. Uday Chopra chips in as the same old jerk and Abhishek
Bachchan has been the disaster of the film.
He remains silent for most of the film and only does the chase job...
However, the film grips the audience and takes them to a completely new experience of
Bollywood. Dhoom 2 has delivered what it promised.
