I recently in January 2024 had my kitchen designed and installed by Qarpentri through Designcafe, lured by their USP of a 15-day delivery due to my tight schedule. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a disaster from start to finish.
Design Issues: The designer assigned to my project was completely unprofessional. He failed to take accurate measurements and offered no valuable design suggestions. This led to a multitude of problems during the installation.
Delivery Delays: Despite their promise of a 15-day delivery, the project was not completed on time. When the kitchen finally arrived, the installation revealed numerous mismatches and errors.
Poor Quality and Workmanship: The materials used were of extremely low quality. Upon installation, many parts did not fit properly, and some were already malfunctioning. For instance, several kitchen drawers did not work properly from the start.
Terrible Customer Service: I had to make numerous follow-ups to address the issues, but nothing significant was done. Even after escalating the matter to the sales manager, there was no resolution. I spoke with someone named Sneha, who claimed to be the Director of Customer Service, but even her involvement did not make any difference. The overall customer service was horrendous, with no one genuinely caring about resolving the issues.
Hidden Charges: After booking, they revealed that although the service is supposedly free, a Rs. 750 plus GST fee is charged for every visit, which was never mentioned upfront.
Ongoing Issues: My kitchen was finally installed in January 2024 after numerous arguments and disappointments. Despite their assurances, problems persisted. Within two months, two drawer fascias had to be changed. Now, just six months later, the entire kitchen has stopped working properly. Most of the drawers are making noise and getting stuck.
In conclusion, Qarpentri by Designcafe is a fraudulent company that uses cheap products and provides abysmal service. Their primary goal is to take your booking amount, and they have no regard for customer satisfaction. If I could give them a rating lower than one star, I would. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company at all costs.
