Dealing with this firm was a never-ending nightmare - a complete betrayal of good faith trust placed in the owner, Mr. Karthik, and his team, on all fronts. Not only was their work slipshod with multiple defects and mistakes, their rates atrocious and supervision completely absent, the entire project was replete with delays at every stage and uncoordinated work by their sub-contractors capped by dishonesty and bad attitude.
The vendors referred by them actively (quotes sent by the firm, rates justified as "Design DNA rates" etc.) were not only below par in their work but unscrupulous and dishonest. Two of them absconded after taking moneys which were personally cleared for payment by Mr. Karthik. And he completely washed his hands off saying the vendors are third parties over whom they have no control!
For work done by the firm directly, their attitude, availability and contactability changed dramatically after collecting 95% of the money which as per their "standard payment terms" was at "delivery of carcasses" (effectively 30% work - just unfitted plywood boxes WITHOUT doors, shelves, fittings, accessories, handles, polishing, cleaning ...... ).
It is clear that projects are taken on with lofty promises, maximum money is pocketed at the earliest and the clients are left at the mercy of their arrogant staff, poor quality juniors and workers who fail to complete the work. They even collect at gunpoint, a "satisfaction letter" drafted by them, when the work is nowhere near complete! With 95% of the money with them, the client has no option but to live with the poor quality work and comply with all their blackmailing.
Contractual obligations have only a unilateral application for them. They take dozens of signatures from the client for corrections made in drawings for rectification of THEIR OWN MEASUREMENT, CONSISTENCY AND CALCULATION ERRORS (pointed out by the client as they don't seem to review any of the work done by inexperienced juniors) while not a single counter-signed copy is given to the client. Even the contract letter remained unsigned for many months until one insisted on it. Bills are not given for even collected payments including products purchased - unless their next demand is met unquestioningly. The client has only the option of holding back their last 5% when they owe 6 times that for errors and items failed to be done. Needless to say, their guarantee is not worth the paper it is written on (which will be unsigned, in any case).
All in all, this is an extremely unprofessional and unscrupulous firm with lazy and slippery senior level people and incompetent juniors (with high employee turnover), which is capable of delivering only stress and harassment with 100% efficiency.
