This machine is a great piece of kit. The first laptop I've had as a primary system that I won't be upgrading a year into its use. Would work great in business a year into its use. Would work great in a business environment, for high demanding application. Battery life is a good 6 hours for a 9 call. This system is possibly the best one we have in the office. it is incredibly fast. Battery life is very good. Also great for plying games adn for Video editing. I spent a lot of time comparing laptops between HP, Toshiba and Dell. It finally came down to the Dell XPS 15 it was the best bang for the buck. It had a better cpu, gpu and audio quality than all the others in the same price range1200. I have had the computer for about a week now and love it I reinstalled windows on it for domain use and it was cake all the drives work right away. I am very happy with this computer it will even play any video game I throw at it with easy. Super fast cpu and amazing audio and graphics if you are looking for a new laptop for around 1200 bucks I strongly suggest this laptop its Amazing. Good Job Dell. The keyboard is one the the multimedia notebook's biggest drawbacks. The illuminated model that was installed in our test device attracted negative attention due to a fairly spongy typing feel. The keyboard is rather suboptimal for prolific typists-despite the agreeable typing noise. We would have liked to see a clearer and crisper trigger response. I guess idon't have much choice here, if Dell's display is a bit better than all, I will probably pick a better display, and also I don't like that Sony includes a numpad in 15" model. And Dell has a batter sound.
