The price of 4500 for a new cycle was too attractive.My Bike MTB B'TWIN is good only if your requirement is short distance cycling. I required a cycle for 15 kms daily riding and thought by picking a non gear simple cycle will only enable me to burn calories. The result was severe knee pain and back pain due to uneven terrain and stress on the knees due to lack of gears. I felt this as soon as I rode it from Decathalon Sarjapur to my appartment within 3 kms. I called the Sarjapur Decathalon store and spoke to several managers explaining that a ride inside Decathalon was a bad decision to pick this cycle. My request to return the cycle I bought an hour ago and in return I was willing to pay another 4500 for a geared B'TWIN was flatly refused stating once the cycle was sold it cannot be returned or exchanged.
In the hope that Decathalon head office may be more reasonable I sent a detailed email with all the details. I guess even Decathalon head office believes they are too big a business to respond to a petty customer like me.
Eventually I sold the My Bike MTB B'TWIN online and picked up a Second hand Hercules Ryders Act 110 plus.
My cycling experiance has become such a pleasure. The 24 gears enables me to tackle the roads, hills and slopes. Wanted to share this before any of you makes a mistake as cycling has become a prime hobby these days.
