A thoroughly entertaining movie. Review on Darna Zaroori Hai

After reading the most of the reviews about RGV's Darna Zaroori Hai, I am forced to pen down my own thoughts. No, this is not a personal review of the DZH, but a personal review of reviews(that respected members of  mouthshut have given) about DZH. Having seen the movie in its entirety, I can hardly recall any moment that could be termed or classified as dull and boring. Though, some people have, to some extent, rightly infered that the Sunil Shetty and Rajpal Yadav episode, could have been replaced by another, more interesting and gripping story.

What most of the reviewers have complained about DZH, is that it lacks the spine chilling factor, it hardly has any moments that gives the viewers goosepimples, or it is just a plain vanilla. Excuse me, but if people went to the movie, expecting to see some grisly and rivetting tale of horror, which includes scenes of rotting corpses, strange and scary sounds emanating from dark basements, to see the skeletons dancing alongside with witches, ghouls and ghosts, then, you are truly in for a disappointment. If that is what they want to see then I might, as well, advise them to catch up with latest on Nithari killings, where a psychopath and his close confidante, lured, and sexually abused women and young kids and later ate and dumped their hacked body parts into the drain. Plus, this episode is a brutal naked reality and not something closer to the reality.

When I go to see a movie, any genre it may belong to, I expect to be entertained both as an ordinary audience and as a film critic. The film critic in me needs to be satiated first, before the ordinary guy in me can be happy, with a good film viewing experience. DZH, provides me with enough moments of excitement, thrill and suspense, without being either too bloody or sadistic. DZH, without a doubt, is a way, way better film than what hindi cinema has to offer month after month, year after year. One film with six different stories, shot by six  different directors, is like seeing things from six different perspectives. I would rather see small, fast paced episodes in one film rather than sit down for atleast 2 - 3 hours and watch the mundane love stories churned out by conventional Bollywood film industry.

I would recommmend DZH, to all the mouthshut readers and I am sure you will enjoy it and hopefully agree with me, as to what I am trying to say here.
